NNMi 8.13 Patch6 exposes an earlier defect in the loaded mibs.
A fix has gone into Network Node Manager I-series's ( NNMi ) Patch 6 which exposes a defect in the syntax of a mib that is auto loaded when NNMi is installed.
When the nnmloadmib.ovpl utility is next used after Patch6 is installed the following error may be displayed:
nnmloadmib.ovpl -load CISCO-ENVMON-MIB.my -u -p Error execution program: Unable to create working copy of MIB Database.
The MIB file, C:/Program Files (x86)/HP/HP BTO Software/snmp_mibs/Vendor/Cisco/CISCO-ENVMON-MIB.my, cannot be loaded until the following problem is corrected in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\HP\HP BTO Software\shared\nnm\conf\snmpmib:
Line 9718: Warning: registration of 'isdnMibConformance(2)' replacing previously defined 'isdnMibConformance(2)'Error defining object 'isdnMibTraps': Parent 'isdnMibTrapPrefix' not defined.Load the MIB that defines 'isdnMibTrapPrefix' before loading this MIB.
The problem is caused by the rfc2127-ISDN-MIB that was loaded when NNMi was installed and which has an incorrect syntax.
To correct the problem:
1. run the command:
nnmloadmib.ovpl -unload rfc2127-ISDN-MIB -u -p
2. Edit the following file:
$NnmDataDir/snmp-mibs/Standard/rfc2127-ISDN-MIB (Unix)
%NnmDataDir%\snmp-mibs\Standard\rfc2127-ISDN-MIB (Windows)
3. Find the following two lines in the file and comment them out by adding the leading "--" characters:
